Opened February 2020, West End Poke was created by Dave Hillman and Chef Victor Ramirez as a healthy affordable alternative to fast casual food menus. In our first year, during these very tough times, we are proud to announce that we were voted “Best Poke” by the Triad City Beat in their Winston-Salem/Forsyth County edition. Looking forward to 2021 and beyond, we have decided to broaden our menu t

o include not just Poke, but grilled grain bowls and a fine selection of salads. We offer contactless curbside service for your convenience. Our bowls make a great meal for both lunch and dinner and are easily transportable. We have seating available inside or in warmer weather out on our large deck.

West End Poke is now open as That Place in the West End. Come in this weekend and check out all the new tasty menu items. Enjoy the tasty Deacon Deluxe Roast Beef Sandwich. Slow roasted roast beef topped with pimento cheese, "country gravy," on an onion roll. We think it will be a Winston-Salem favorite. We open today at 11 AM.

About Us

Owners Dave Hillman and Victor Ramirez are excited about bringing their over 50 years combined restaurant experience to the opening of West End Poke. Dave currently owns The Quiet Pint Tavern and both Burke Street Pizzas, while in the past he has opened nine different restaurants. With a background in finance, he’ll be in charge of all business responsibilities for this new venture.

Victor is currently the Executive Chef at The Quiet Pint and will be handling the day to day operations at West End Poke. Mr Ramirez was born into the restaurant business at a very young age, with both his father and grandfather being career chefs. His love of the business brought him to Miami where he gained valuable exposure to many different types of cuisines. With several years under his belt working as a Sushi Chef at a Fine Dining Seafood Restaurant, he’ll be bringing his experience to our new restaurant.
