Nancy Mertzenich was raised in Winnebago and graduated from Winnebago High School in 1983. She and her husband have been married 31 years and raised 2 sons. The oldest son is a chemist and the youngest is a lawyer. Both boys earned their eagle scout awards.
After spending 32 years in healthcare and 5 years in food and beverage management Nancy decided she wanted to own her own diner in her hometown. Ownership of Kennedy’s on Benton Street is a dream come true. Nancy is bringing the diner back to its roots of traditional diner food such as fried chicken and burgers plus great breakfasts.
She looks forward to reconnecting with the community.
