Long Introduction. This is a long time coming introduction.
My name is Kenny Haap. Raffs Tavern brought me in during the Winter of 2020 to manage the restaurant. I had previously been at Monarch Beach Golf links in Dana Point, Pelican Hill in New Port Beach and Marbella Country Club in San Juan Capistrano. With the very high end experience and knowledge of 1st class properties I felt I could bring some of that to Raffs. I would like to thank you for welcoming me to the neighborhood and supporting what we are doing.
In the last couple years, we have collectively added to Raffs. Not only with the menu that has a workable concept, but adding to golfers need and wants. We have decided to run Raffs like a real 365 day restaurant that caters to the amazing Highland Meadows Community and Northern Colorado Community as a whole.
Working with our vendors to keep our prices reasonably competitive to the surrounding business, we truly feel we are still in line to be the most affordable restaurant for families and couples.
We do our best to keep our ideas fresh and exciting, like our IV cocktail bags for the golf carts, Holiday catering, and this year we are introducing our “CHEF SPOTLIGHT”. We have an amazing team of chefs that will be taking over the kitchen and providing their cuisine specialties.
Please Meet Chef James Clark:
Having spent his early twenties living on the island of Oahu, with trips to the Philippines, his taste for southern comfort food has been blended with the traditional dishes of the Pacific Islands. Alongside this he has had an interest in the deeper roots of southern cooking which are found in the multitude of styles of cuisine found across the African continent and the black diaspora worldwide. He has always sought to respect the cultures that his palate has been drawn to, and in his professional cooking has made every effort to demonstrate this through the ex*****on of classic dishes using the most traditional methods.
In May, James will be providing some of his classics. James is still deciding on some traditional dishes, but what has been thrown around are Hawaiin Loco Moco hamburger patty and a fried eggs smothered in a brown gravy over a bed of rice, Green Chili drop biscuit and chicken, Nashville Seasoned Chicken tenders, Kalbi Short Rib and a Lomi Salad or a Poki Bowl.
