70 YEARS OLD, SINGLE, LOOKING FOR A ROOMMATE.

Meet BED CAT. He’s 13½ years young (that’s pushing 70 in human years).

He’s lived through 47,000 naps, countless meals, several generations of way too many kittens, and enough human nonsense to last nine lifetimes.

At his age, he’s not interested in drama, loud roommates, or anyone telling him to get off the furniture. We’re sure he just wants a comfortable bed (hence the name), meals served on time, and someone to love him through his golden years.

Retired? Yes. Tired? Likely. Adoptable? ABSOLUTELY! Sponsored? Yeah baby.

Our baristas have been getting a little ghosty. Meet the HauntMallow Latte, some serious iced, toasted-marshmallowy goodness topped with brown sugar cold foam, graham cracker and a ridiculously cute little marshmallow fluff ghost.

Is it spooky? Barely. Is it adorable? Absolutely. Is it delish? Damn skippy. Is it going to survive long enough for you to take a picture? That’s on you.

JOVI NEEDS A HUMAN, preferably one without another cat.

Jovi is an interesting fella. With people? Absolute lovebug. Snuggly, affectionate, chatty, wants to be with you, and probably holds doors open for people. We made that last part up. We’ve never actually seen him hold a door.

With other cats? Eh. Sometimes he’s perfectly fine, and sometimes he’s the annoying little brother who will. not. stop. touching. you.

And for whatever reason, he seems particularly interested in pestering the relaxed cats.

Cat: I’m just going to lie here quietly.
Jovi: ABSOLUTELY NOT!

So here’s what we think: putJovi in a home where he gets to be THE cat, and somebody is going to hit the jackpot.

No competition, no feline siblings to annoy. Just Jovi and his people; loving, snuggling, chatting and living his very best only-child life.

To the teachers who educate, encourage, redirect, repeat themselves 47 times, and somehow keep showing up with patience and heart. We see you, we appreciate you, and frankly, you’ve earned some mad kudos!

This World Teachers’ Day, Biscuits & Beans is sending a big THANK YOU to every teacher in our community. Because managing a classroom full of humans sounds considerably harder than managing a lounge full of cats, and we know cats.

WE’RE HIRING ONE or TWO BARISTA/CAT CAREGIVER peeps.

Yes, it’s a real job. And yes, it involves both coffee and cats.

We’re looking to add one or two great humans to the Biscuits & Beans team. People who can make a great drink, take top-notch care of our guests, and help keep our adoptable cats happy, healthy and spoiled.

We’ve already received some recent applications and we’re reviewing them now. But we’d like a few more. We’re looking for the right one or two people, not simply the first one or two.

A few things to know:

- this is a combined Barista + Cat Caregiver role. Café/customer-service experience is great; dependability and attitude matter even more.
- Cats are adorable. Cat care also means cleaning (lots of cleaning).
- You’ll help care for adoptable cats while giving our human guests a terrific experience.

Weekend availability is necessary, along with availability for some holidays. We’re closed on the big-name holidays, we’re not monsters.

You must genuinely love cats and like people. This seems obvious, but here we are saying it anyway.

If you’re dependable, friendly, comfortable working hard and think spending your work week bouncing between cold brew and cat care sounds pretty great, we’d like to hear from you.

$16/hr, no late nights or early mornings (like nothing after 8:30p or before 9a), and your uniform is the apron we provide.

Rainy, drizzly, and gray. Basically, Mother Nature looked outside and said “Ya’ll should probably go drink a Caramel Apple Butter Latte and pet cats.” Who are we to argue?

Our Caramel Apple Butter Lattes are ridiculous right now. Like warm, cozy, fall-in-a-cup ridiculous. And somehow we still have 3 spots open in the Cat Lounge at 4p today. Grab your favorite human (or two humans) you can tolerate for 40 minutes.

Come for the latte, stay for the cats, and let Sunday do its thing.
