All Great Things Must Come To An End

Back in April 1974 Salim Hanna opened his first restaurant in South Grand with 5 tables, only two years later expanded to a dining room with 80 seats and a popular night club. 1979 he bought and renovated the world renowned Pelican Seafood Restaurant. 1980 was the Grand Opening serving a 1940 dinner menu selling Lobster for only $3.95. In 1982 Salim opened Saleem’s Lebanese Restaurant in the University Loop. 2001 Saleem’s in California, 2003 Simon’s Café, Chesterfield, MO. 2008 Salim Hanna opened Saleem’s West in Wi******er, MO (present location)
On December 14th 2013 Salim Hanna will be retiring and closing Saleem’s West Lebanese Restaurant. He had a very adventurous 39 Years in the Restaurant Business.
We have met so many great people and have made so many friends. We will love all you and miss every single one of you. Please join us for our last week of business to help us celebrate Salim’s retirement.

We cannot thank our loyal friends enough for a great friendship and hopefully many years to come!
For my fathers retirement he will still be living here in St.Louis and plans to travel back and forth to Lebanon to visit his family. As for Simon (I) will still be living here in St.Louis. I will be getting married next year to my beautiful Fiancé Lauren. We have a gorgeous daughter named Lexi that is 15 months old right now. We will truly miss seeing everybody.
