🍦 TWO MONTHS. 🍦
It’s hard to believe that last week marked two months of owning the Wi******er Dairy Bar.
When I think about these first two months—the long days, the learning curves, the laughs, the challenges, and the incredible support—I keep coming back to one thing:
Gratitude.
And there are four groups of people I especially need to thank.
First and foremost, God. 🙏
God has truly blessed me with the opportunity to purchase something that means so much to me and to so many people in this community. I don’t take that responsibility lightly. I wake up every day thinking about what we can do better, what we can improve, and how we can make the Dairy Bar an even better place for the community it serves.
Second, the real people behind the Wi******er Dairy Bar—our staff. ❤️
You may see my name associated with the business, but these are the people who make it happen every single day. And at the helm is our manager, Cathy. She keeps this place moving, keeps me sane, and handles more things behind the scenes than most people will ever know. Somewhere along the way, her family has become like family to us, and I am incredibly thankful for her leadership, loyalty, and commitment to this place. And of course to every single staff member who has committed to help serve!
And third, I need to give a HUGE thank you to Pam Chapman. 🍦
Most of you know Pam as the previous owner of the Dairy Bar, but what you may not know is how involved she has continued to be since handing me the keys. She has made herself available to me pretty much daily for questions, advice, guidance, recipes, troubleshooting, an extra set of hands when we need them—and yes, sometimes even inventory when I realize we’re in a pinch! 😂
She could have sold the business, handed over the keys, and walked away.
Instead, she has continued to invest her time and heart into making sure we succeed. That means more to me than I could ever adequately put into words.
And finally, to this community—THANK YOU.
None of this works without you.
Every burger ordered, every cone swirled, every sundae made, every family that pulls into the parking lot, every Facebook post shared, every person who tells a friend about us—you are the reason we get to keep doing this.
We are incredibly excited about continuing to serve Wi******er year-round, while also welcoming the people who drive from neighboring communities and sometimes much farther away just to visit us.
Two months down, and hopefully many, many years ahead.
We have learned a lot. We still have plenty to learn. And we are going to keep asking ourselves the same question every day:
How can we make the Wi******er Dairy Bar better tomorrow than it was today?
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for allowing me to be a small part of something that has meant so much to this community for so long.
