I’ve been quiet for a couple of days. Mostly because my energy and attention had shifted to an external source that has now resolved itself, but I was also kind of seeking some personal time to think over a really important decision.
We all know the fire we experienced here at Chaos damaged our building, but what it didn’t do was destroy our brand. SO many of you have been sharing posts, checking in, telling stories, and showing up because of what Chaos means to you and, to be honest, I have spent years teaching people that “Chaos” isn’t destruction. It’s real life. It’s messy, unpredictable, resilient, and somehow still beautiful. And if there was ever a moment that proved that message, it was this fire.
Fires feel so random and unfair, so it’s natural for some people to search for a reason that makes it feel more understandable (ME INCLUDED) and sometimes that turns into comments like, “Well, the name was Chaos”.
For the record — Chaos has never meant destruction. It DOES mean:
• Life is messy.
• People don’t have to be perfect to belong.
• Community can thrive even when things aren’t neatly organized.
• You can laugh, adapt, and keep moving forward when life throws you a curveball.
So really, to me, Chaos has never meant disaster. It’s always meant finding beauty, community, and purpose in life’s messy moments. If anything, the last couple of weeks have shown me exactly why the name fits.
I guess what I’m trying to say is this — I love what Chaos has built and will continue to build! The friendships, the connections, the belief that this is a place where everyone belongs. ❤️
Long story short — I’m glad you’re used to the name “Chaos” because it’s not going anywhere. ❤️
