Bona Italian has a long 40+ year history right here in Wilton Manors. Over the years we expanded into a Full Service Italian restaurant and most recently in 2021 we've opened Aperitivo Lounge at Bona which is our Craft Cocktail Bar offering small bites and libations. There have been many guardians of Bona over decades. Most recently Mark Byrd and Glen Weinzimer have taken the helm and guided Bona

since December of 2016. Mark and Glen lead with their hearts and are passionate about serving the local community. Under their guidance Bona has continued to grow, develop, and serve the community. At our Core is a Mission to Give Back to the Community. One of our primary opportunities to do this is through Give Back Monday. Every Monday we choose a non-profit serving the local community and donate 10% of all dine-in and take-out orders back to that organization. Environmental sustainability is also at the Heart of Bona's Mission. In this effort we have eliminated all styrofoam as well as plastic bags, replaced plastic straws with Pasta Straws and continue to work to reduce our use of other single use plastics across the restaurant at every step from our distributors down to our guests. As part of this environmental effort we have also increased our plant based and vegan options including meat substitutes and plant powered dishes.

More than Just Great Italian Food

We opened our doors in 1979 as Bona Italian Restaurant. our beginnings started with just pizza and has grown to a full Italian Menu with all the things you think of when you choose Italian, plus some very special items you will find like Chicken Cyriac, which is blackened chicken over a garlic cream sauce over penne pasta and toasted almonds on top.

We are known for our in-house from scratch garlic knots...WOW! Bona changed hands in December of 2016 and has undergone a bit of a facelift with a new stucco facade, new palate of colors, removal of drop ceiling exposing a more industrial and contemporary feel.

We enjoy being part of the Wilton Manors community, giving back every Monday to a local non profit that supports this community. We have also introduced “Winey Wednesday’s” and currently brining back “thirsty Thursdays”

The environment belongs to all of us and we are trying to make the world and our planet a little better. We have eliminated plastic to go bags and replaced them with paper. We have removed plastic straws and replaced them with pasta straws. We can’t save every sea turtle or coral reef, but we can work to eliminate at least our portion.
