Happy Wednesday! We have a few exciting flavor announcements to make! 📢

In the spirit of Halloween, we will be doing candy-inspired Flavors of the Week through the end of October 👻 🎃 🧙 . This week's Flavor of the Week is Snickers - featuring a snickers base with chunks of snickers candy bar pieces!

Also, we're excited to announce the release of our Fall Flavors! 🍂Now available in-store are:

Grandma's Apple Pie - featuring an apple pie base with real apple pieces, graham cracker pieces, and topped with a homemade brown sugar cinnamon streusel 🍎 🥧

Pumpkin Patch Pie - featuring a pumpkin pie base with real pumpkin, graham cracker pieces, and topped with a drizzle of pumpkin pie sauce 🎃 🥧

Lastly, Uncle John's Ice Creamery would like to send a big thank you to everyone who visited us at this year's Wilmington Fall Fest and to the Fall Fest Committee for everything that they did to make it a great time! We already can't wait to see you there again next year! 🙂

Happy Wednesday everyone! For this week’s Flavor of the Week, Uncle John’s Ice Creamery is excited to announce our first-ever small business collaboration! We teamed up with Bliss Confection Co. in Burlington and took their best-selling item…Oatmeal Cream Pie…and decided it would be the perfect Flavor of the Week! The Oatmeal Cream Pie ice cream features an oatmeal cream pie base with oatmeal cookie pieces and topped with a homemade cream pie filling!

Also, a friendly reminder that the Fall Fest is now this upcoming Saturday, October 3rd from 9am-4pm. Come on by and grab some of our apple pie and pumpkin pie fall flavors before they’re available in-store! Thankfully, the weather looks much more promising this Saturday. 😊🤞

This week's Flavor of the Week is Heavenly Hazelnut Crunch - featuring a hazelnut base with pieces of ferrero rocher chocolate covered hazelnut candies!

On a side note, due to the predicted bad weather coming this weekend, the Wilmington Fall Fest has been rescheduled to Saturday, October 3rd from 9am-4pm. We'll still be there and can't wait to see you all!

Also, we're excited to announce that Uncle John's Ice Creamery will once again be a vendor at the upcoming 🍂Fall Fest🍁 on Saturday, September 26th from 9am-4pm. Come and stop by and be the first to try our Apple Pie🍎and Pumpkin Pie 🎃fall flavors before they're available in-store!

Opening an ice cream shop has been the best decision I have ever made. From having pride in making my own ice cream to seeing the smiles from both children and adults alike, it serves as a constant reminder of why I decided to take the risk. Whenever I feel drained or stressed, I remind myself of this and it makes everything worth it.

Unfortunately, one of the downfalls of owning a small business, despite working 15 hours a day, 7 days a week, is receiving a Google review like the one shown that I received a few weeks ago (though I only saw it a few days ago). If I get a bad review from someone because they didn’t like the ice cream, that’s one thing and it would be unfortunate, as I truly wish I could give everyone the best ice cream they’ve ever had. However, when I get a 1-star review solely because we're "always closed”…despite being open 5 days a week and 49 of the 52 weeks of the year, it’s incredibly disheartening. In this digital age, when online reviews are just as vital as word of mouth in determining a small business’s success, it can’t be understated how frustrating something like this is.

In summary, if you have had a great experience and really enjoyed the ice cream at Uncle John’s, it would be incredibly appreciated if you wouldn’t mind leaving a review. With your help and continued support, hopefully we can help answer the question of this particular review of how I’m still in business. As always, thank you so much!

On a better, more positive note, this week's Flavor of the Week is Cinnamon Bun – featuring a brown sugar cinnamon base with pieces of frosted cinnamon buns and topped with a homemade cream cheese frosting!

This week's Flavor of the Week is Brookie Dough - featuring a creamy vanilla base with chunks of ooey gooey fudgy brownies and gobs of cookie dough! It was one of our fastest selling Flavors of the Week we've ever had, so I made a little more than usual, but I still recommend stopping on by to grab a scoop...or two...before it's too late!

Also...looking for the perfect pregame, mid-game, or postgame snack for the Patriots season opener tonight? What perfect way to celebrate a hopeful victory with some Uncle John's Ice Creamery. Come and swing by to grab some flights or pints!
