It’s with a heavy heart we announce the closing of The Second Glass in the vibrant South Front District. The forces of inflation and the state of the economy have led us to a crossroads, leading to the decision to not resign our upcoming lease. This decision, though difficult, was made with a deep reflection on the current economic climate and out of the best interest of The Second Glass Family.
We want to extend our sincerest gratitude to our incredible staff, our loyal customers, and every guest who has walked through our doors. Your companionship on this journey has been the highlight of our days, filled with laughter, shared stories and, of course, exquisite wine.
When we embarked on this journey in 2010, opening The Fortunate Glass, it was with a dream of creating a sanctuary for wine lovers and food enthusiasts alike — a place where moments are created, sips shared and friends gathered for good food and good wine. The evolution from The Fortunate Glass to The Second Glass in 2018 was a leap of faith, driven by a desire to broaden our dining offerings and welcome more of you into our space.
The memories we've made, the meals we've enjoyed together, and the stories that have filled our space are treasures we'll always keep close to our hearts. Though we say goodbye to this chapter, The Fortunate Glass continues to pour great wine, and we hope to see you there, keeping the spirit of The Second Glass alive.
Before our final toast on Sunday April 14th, we invite you to dine and have a last glass with us. Or you can take a piece of The Second Glass home with you. Our wine is up for grabs at a retail price, and it’s the perfect opportunity to redeem those gift cards you’ve been holding onto.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being a part of our story. It’s been a joy and a privilege to serve and sip with you. 🍷
With all our love and gratitude,
The Second Glass Family
