🚨🦅 Calling all members of our downtown community 🦅🚨

Introducing Community Conversations, a periodic gathering of folks who live, work, and enjoy the downtown Wilmington community to raise awareness and education in regards to our local environment.

We are coming together with Cape Fear River Watch on September 22nd to listen and learn about water quality in the Cape Fear River from Cape Fear Riverkeeper Kemp Burdette!

Doors open at 5pm with a little time to connect over free snacks and drinks provided by our team (thank you all!) Then Kemp will take center stage to speak on the river’s water quality, dive into the impacts to our drinking water, and provide resources for each and every guest to bring about positive change for our beautiful hometown.

We know y’all have been missing our craft soda lately—and tonight, it’s back! Introducing the Front & Center 🌟🍑 a carbonated dream of ginger, peach, and yaupon tea. It’s this year’s fundraising collaboration with Fronting Life. We’ve gotten to know Fronting Life through our Chef de Cuisine Jay. Here’s what he has to say:

“Our industry’s exciting nature can often lead to overstimulation and mental exhaustion. Fronting Life helps provide me with a safe, still space to explore healthy ways of winding down—all while being supported by our community.”

Tonight from 5 to 7 in the bar area, Breanne Lotz is taking over!! For those of you who don’t know Bre, she’s a hometown bartender extraordinaire who moved to NYC a few years back. Tonight, she’s back in town to raise money for a good Wilmington cause.

$1 from each cocktail on Bre’s list will go directly to Cape Fear River Watch to support their continuing work for healthy water in the Cape Fear river basin.

Y’all hear us talk all the time about the water in our area and its bounty of seafood, but what about the food growing in the soil? Healthy soil makes for better food on our plates—better coffee, w**e, and spirits in our glasses, too. We’re thrilled to announce that Seabird is teaming up with Zero Foodprint for Dirty Drinks, a bar and beverage campaign that gets grants to farmers to build healthy soil!

From August 24th to August 30th, our Sea Martini will be serving a special purpose. $1 from each of them sold will go directly to farmers restoring our climate by building healthy soil. Bottoms up, carbon down!

It’s Oyster Happy Hour again tonight, so you know what that means—great oysters at a great price!

On tap tonight, we’ve got Little Stars from the waters of Pamlico Sound. Some of you shell flippers ( 😉) may have noticed these oysters looking particularly beautiful lately and you’re not wrong! The folks at have recently brought New Zealand’s FlipFarm system to their farm, allowing them to work smarter, not harder. The system works with the oysters’ growth cycle to naturally tumble, flip, and dry each shell to perfection. This new process leads to stronger, deeper shells and stronger adductor muscles—building up glycogen in a tightly sealed shell for a sweeter, cleaner tasting oyster.

Oyster farmers can’t control what Mother Nature brings to the table, but they can—and do—put in the work to care for them along the way. We so appreciate the innovative ways the team over at Little Stars Oyster Farm keeps their oysters fresh, consistent, and more delicious than ever 🩵
