Happy Tuesday! We are off to a great start to our week here at Lumberton. We are excited about some cooler weather specials coming soon and all the beautiful sweet treats we just had delivered from The Orchard Oven, including her Browned Butter Peach Scones and beautiful sourdough loaves! What a special little blue building. Through the years it's been a gas station, a deli, The 68 Family Restaurant and now the Lumberton General Store. We are proud to be part of it's long and important history on this little crossroads. It looks small from the outside but inside it's warm, full of life and filled with delicious coffee, sweet treats and classic country cooking made with locally sourced ingredients. Are you ready to work with local food, prep dishes from scratch and have your own recipes heard? Want to learn how to we make the best fried chicken around and beautiful fluffy biscuits? Here's your chance! We are hiring a prep cook/kitchen aid.

Qualifications:
-Must be physically capable of repetitive motion, walking, and/or standing for extended periods of time, and frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
-Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
-Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
-Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
-No prior experience necessary but must be a nice person and willing to work hard

This Lumberton original has all the good flavors of summer; including our house made Pesto, a perfectly grilled chicken breast, mayo, lettuce and a crispy fried green tomato breaded with local Branstrator Farms cornmeal. Come in this week for lunch and try one for yourself!
