Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club Ride

2nd Annual Schmidt-Berger Memorial Ride taking place on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at the Willmar VFW Post 1639 in Willmar, Minnesota.
This event is held in memory of Reed Schmidt and Trevor Berger, both former Police Chiefs in Atwater, Minnesota, who lost their battles with cancer. The ride brings together riders, community members, law enforcement supporters, and local businesses for a day focused on honoring their legacy while raising funds for important community causes.
Ride details:
• Saturday, June 13, 2026
• Willmar VFW Post 1639
• Kickstands up at 11:00 am
• Riders return around 4:00 pm
Following the ride there will be:
• Hog Roast
• DJ
• Meat Raffle
• Silent Auction
Proceeds raised from this event will help complete our local Law Enforcement scholarship, support local law enforcement K-9 programs as requested in Reed Schmidt’s will, and assist with other community causes supported by the Legion of St. Michael LEMC MN.

Memorial Day program begins at 11:00 am at the Fairview Cemetery today. Bring your chair and stay after the program for a hotdog, chips, cookie, and take some time to tour the chapel.

A gentle reminder as we head into Memorial Day weekend what this day means to so many.

It’s about remembering the men and women who never made it home. The ones who gave everything for our country, their families, and the freedoms we often take for granted.

And for those who came home, service often continues in quieter ways, through supporting one another, serving their communities, and making sure those we lost are always remembered.

For many of our veterans, Memorial Day carries names, faces, memories, and loss that will never fully leave them.

Please take a moment this weekend to pause, reflect, and remember.

Have a safe Memorial Day weekend.

We will be closed Saturday, May 23rd through Monday, May 25th.

Caitlyn’s artwork will now advance to the State level competition through the VFW Auxiliary Patriotic Art Program. We are incredibly proud to recognize the talent, creativity, and patriotism shown through her work.

We did it! Bingo season is officially finished! What a night, and congratulations to all of our winners!

I want to take a moment to give a huge shoutout to our local Willmar Noon Lions Club. None of this would have been possible without your commitment, not only to the Lions Club, but to ours as well. Week after week you showed up, put in the work, and helped make bingo what it is.

A huge thank you also goes out to our gambling staff, kitchen crew, servers, and everyone behind the scenes. People don’t always see the amount of work that goes into bingo each week, but it takes an incredible team to pull it off.

The proceeds from bingo were donated right back to the Willmar Noon Lions Club, which in turn goes right back into supporting our community.

This season was full of learning, growth, new faces, and a packed house week after week. We are so thankful for every single person who came out and supported us this year.
