Homemade Super-premium Vanilla Ice Cream Base Recipe!

This mix is 16% butterfat and does not contain eggs, making it perfect for the at home ice cream maker.

Stuff you need
32 ounces (1 quart) of heavy cream
36 ounces (4.5 cups) of whole milk
1 cup sugar
1/2 tablespoon guar gum ( the secret to creamy ice cream)
1 TBSP vanilla extract

What to do
-mix cream and milk in a large bowl
-place sugar and guar gum in a Tupperware bowl with a lid.
-shake sugar/guar gum mixture for 15 seconds to completely mix the guar gum and sugar. You do not want clumps of guar gum. If you think "did I shake this enough?" shake it some more.
- pour the sugar mixture into the cream and milk while mixing with a whisk.
- whisk for at least a minute to make sure you have no clumps of guar gum.
- add 1 tbsp of vanilla extract and mix
- refrigerate the vanilla base for 30 minutes to hydrate the guar gum.

Now just follow the instructions for your homemade ice cream machine.
If you want to add cookies, chocolate chips etc...
just add to the machine for the last 4 minutes.
