OK all my friends, really don't miss the Kiln as much as I miss all of you. I leave for Germany in the morning and as soon as I return I plan on heading out and listening to as many of my musician friends and their groups. This is my sprinkling and summer project. Be sure to let me know when you will be performing and when!

I do miss all the groups who played at the Kiln and all the wonderful friends who would come support us but the time of reprieve has been good. After a year and a half of being at Kiln every weekend I have enjoyed my free time. I am so thankful for the wonderful people I have meet and for all the awesome experiences and memories. If we never open again I am still a blessed. Again, thank you all for the support you showed and for all the fun we had! Guess it is now onward and upward!!

Hey friends, been a while. Several have asked if there is any progress in opening the Kiln back up and all I can say is, "not sure". I have not heard any more from the group who I visited with in Nov so guess that is a no. HOWEVER, for those who may be interested, Starting Tuesday, February 18, 7:00pm to 9:00pm, we will be starting a 6 week series on "Abiding In Christ, Developing an Intimacy" from the works of Andrew Murray.

KT and Julie Thiessen have graciously offered their home in Kechi (North Wichita) for this fellowship. We will experience worship, Word, fellowship, prayer and communion. If you are in the area and would like to attend or desire more information, please shoot me a message or give me a call at 316-207-8486. Thanks, Mike

Tomorrow I will be visiting with the group that has invited us to move into their facility and resume the Kiln. Along with our weekly dinner and music, what if we started a family orientated "Dinner Theater"? Or, "Youth and the Arts," where kids are allowed to escape their troubles and learn how to express themselves through the arts, finding worth and meaning! The mind never stops!!

The Kiln is totally moved, clean and locked for the last time today. So many good memories, awesome friends, fantastic musicians and their musical art, just plain all round great!!! Now what????

Today my good friend Mark Bowling helped me move two huge trailer loads of stuff dfrom the Kiln to my garage. All I have left are some boxes, pictures, mirrors, lamps, etc. to take to the garage tomorrow night. The landlord came while we were there and put his "for rent" sign in the widow. Bitter sweet is was. I trust that this is all in God's hands and as mark would say, "the best is yet to come". Will keep all of you updated!!!s

I have been approached by a group that would like for us to move into their facility and resume " The Kiln". Not sure that this is what we are to do but certainly willing to pursue the possibility. There would be plenty of room and tons of parking. A little out of the way, but, hey, who knows. If you are a prayer, please start praying.

Had an awesome evening at the Crown for the Youth Horizons fundraiser. It was great seeing so many friends who I have not seen in a long time. Earnest Alexander was super as usual and Craig Curry out did himself on the key board. Yep, and awesome evening.

Bottom line, God is way in control or would be if I would just get out of the way! He will meet the needs of each and every person if they will just be still and know that He is Lord and visit with him about their lives. I think I have too big a heart and feel that I need to meet he needs. Silly me.

The sad part of all this is having one less place for artists to perform. A young man just stopped on to see if he could play here, had to tell him that we were closing, his eyes became sad. Broke my heart!

Several have asked me where I am with the closing of the Kiln. Well, part of me is sad, I will miss the music, the friends, and the Kiln itself. However, part of me is excited to see what the next chapter of my life holds! I love all of you who supported us and we will always be friends. Who knows, some may even take the next part of my journey with me.
