We wanted to take a moment to a personal life update , and share why you may not have seen as many baked goods from Rogue Sweets lately.
Many of you know our Boss Babe has been through a lot over the past several months. After her surgery in December, her main focus was healing. Recovery was slow, and she wasn’t able to stand for long periods of time, which made baking difficult.
Unfortunately, during that recovery, an issue she had previously experienced with her wrist became much worse. Once she was finally off her crutches, we were referred to a specialist who diagnosed a very complex condition in her wrist that requires surgery.
Because of this, she has had very limited use of that hand and wrist, making it nearly impossible to do the baking she loves so much.
As we write this, we are headed to Dallas for surgery tomorrow. While the surgeon has been honest that there is a possibility things may not improve the way we hope, he is optimistic and believes this surgery gives her the best chance at getting back to doing what she loves.
We are still able to take small custom orders on a limited basis, and we are incredibly grateful for everyone’s patience, understanding, and support during this season.
Our hope is that once this recovery is behind us, she can get back to the thing that started it all for Rogue Sweets nearly six years ago… making treats for all of you.
In the meantime, you’ll continue to see us at events serving up our drinks, Loaded Teas, cold brew coffee, refreshers, energizers, and more. We have some exciting things planned, so stay tuned.
