TOMORROW NIGHT.

The planning is done. The menu is set. And we’re almost ready to welcome everyone for our second Community Homestyle Dinner.

There’s just one question left:

Do you have your reservation?

Tomorrow, September 24, dinner will be served from 5:00–7:30 PM with David Glen Murphey playing acoustic from 5:30–7:30 PM.

For $17.99, choose:

Chicken Fried Steak
Fried or Grilled Fish
Smothered Pork Chops

Dinner includes Italian Tossed Salad, Mashed Potatoes, White and Brown Gravy, Sautéed Fresh Vegetable Medley and Green Beans.

For dessert, choose Chocolate Cake, Buttermilk Pie or Cherry Cobbler.

This is a reservation-only dinner.

Wednesday is our day off at Country Cafe — but that doesn’t mean it has to be a day off from eating local!

Whitney has some great locally owned places to grab a bite. Stop by Pizza Junction of Whitney, grab a burger at Bobby's Burgers, or enjoy some Texas barbecue from Lehmann's BBQ .

And those are just a few of the locally owned restaurants around town. Wherever you decide to eat today, we encourage you to keep it local. Every meal you buy from a local restaurant helps support a Whitney family, provides jobs for our neighbors, and keeps dollars right here in our community.

The lights are off and the kitchen is quiet today — Country Cafe is closed every Wednesday.

But we’ll be back at it Thursday morning, and there’s plenty waiting for you the rest of the week.

VETERANS — MARK YOUR CALENDARS

Our next Veterans Breakfast at Country Cafe is Monday, October 5, from 8:00–10:00 AM.

This is more than just breakfast. It’s a chance to sit down with other veterans, meet someone new, swap a few stories and enjoy some good food and good company.

For $8, breakfast includes 2 eggs, sausage and bacon, hashbrowns, biscuits and gravy, and a beverage.

Whether you served years ago or recently, we’d be glad to have you at the table.
