We wanted to quickly address a post That was made earlier today regarding a former employee of the Loft Tavern and unpaid wages.

We normally would not discuss an employee or former employee Publicly, but because the post was made in a community forum and raised concerns about our business practices, we feel it as important to clarify the situation.

At no point in time did our establishment refused to pay the former employee for the time she worked. She was informed directly that her pay would be available to be picked up on the next payday and that she needed to come to the restaurant to collect it. After missing all previous opportunities to collect her pay, a new arrangement has been made for her to receive her pay tomorrow at 11 AM in person at the establishment.

We understand why allegations regarding a business not paying their employees would concern our community. We take paying our employees seriously and would never expect someone to work without being compensated for their time.

There are additional circumstances regarding this former employees very brief employment with us but out of respect for everyone involved we will not discuss personal matters publicly.

We appreciate everyone who reached out rather than immediately assuming the worst.
We love being a part of this community And we believe transparency matters which is why we wanted to address the allegation directly.
