Have you heard? Meraki Thrift/fostering Growth now has a coffee cafe. Please show your support, Taresa is such a big blessing to this little town of ours. She has helped so many children, young teens and families. She has put her heart into the thrift store and now the coffee cafe. I had no idea who Taresa was or for that matter I had no clue Meraki Thrift was even there. She came into the cafe as a customer and through all the heart ache this last year we became friends. (Surely one of the blessings going through what we did). If this community doesn't stick together and help and support each other we will never have anything in this town. Not Hungary? Not a coffee drinker? (More than coffee by the way.)That's ok, You can support in many ways. Maybe make a donation, Lend a hand, send prayers. Maybe you have an occasion where you need a gift, why not a gift card. My favorite shopping is thrift stores. Whatever it is we all need to start supporting and helping others. I would have people ask me why I would allow someone to get a smoothie from Mainstreet Nutrition and bring it into my cafe (when it was open). Simple share the love, share the support. We are all in this crazy world together. Let's love and support and lift up others!

It has been awhile since I had an update. Mostly because I had nothing to update with. Today we had our court hearing. And we won!! I want to thank each and every customer that came into Zion Cafe. I was truly blessed to be able to meet new faces or visit with friends or community members. I want to thank everyone that prayed with me and for me. The ones that just simply had a listening ear. And for the friends I made along this very long journey . It was definitely very stressful, heart breaking and devastating time. I want to thank God above for holding me up when I didn't think I could. My family for the support during and after the closing of the Zion Cafe. I will never be able to thank you enough! My husband boy I owe him a lot! He has stuck by my side this whole time. Even with all the stress there was. My children thank for your being there for your mom. The hugs, the talks, and helping me to realize I can accomplish what I'm set out to do. I love you all! It is time to make the announcement as hard as it is. But it must be done. The Zion Cafe is permanently closed. This is still very devastating but is what has to be done. I would question God why he would give this dream to me just to have it taken away so quickly and in such an awful way. But then thinking and praying I realize some people don't ever get a chance to have their dream come true. Even though it was for a very short three months I did have my dream. But just like in real life we need to wake up from those dreams and remember the good times. I will miss the Zion Cafe everyday. The heart ache will still be with me, but knowing that justice was served today it will make it easier for us to move on. If I got anything out of this, and maybe help others in the future. I would say always make sure to cross your T's dot your I's and document everything!!! Take pictures even if it seems small it may be bigger than you think later on down the road. Hello everyone! Wanted to give an update, well as much as I can. There hasn’t been much of any change to the cafe. Infact it is in worse condition now than when we had to close. It has been a very difficult time for me. And I apologize for not updating sooner but really we had nothing to update. I want to thank each and everyone of you that has called or talked to me. You have no idea how much it means to me seeing and hearing all the support. I’m taking each day as it comes( not much I can do at this point). Any prayers will definitely be appreciated! Little update: With the roof conditions being as is, we are still closed until further notice. There has been a lot of damage inside of the cafe. We wanted to make sure that the equipment is safe and out of the way so the repairs can hopefully be done. But Wow! Is all I can say! I want to thank everyone for coming and helping us move equipment out of the cafe, with my husband having hip surgery and not being able to help, it would have been really hard to do it myself.there were some pretty terrific people that showed up and helped. I can’t express enough how grateful I am. With the situation being as hard as it is, the love that has been showed is more than I can ever hope for. The many people that would stop for lunch and pray with me. To the hugs, or just a positive word. This definitely hasn’t been easy but knowing I have the support from the community is a true blessing. Thank you all again and we hope to see you again soon. Many hands make lighter work. Again thank you each and everyone for the hard work you helped with. ❤️

It is with a very heavy heart that the Zion Cafe will be closed until further notice. The condition of the roof is unsafe to remain open. It has been a very difficult week for us. We appreciate each and everyone of you. And hope to see you again in the future. 🥺
