🍞 Our “break” didn’t exactly go as planned! 😂

This week, while we were on our little bakery break, I baked five plain sourdough loaves to put in the deep freezer. The plan was to start keeping a few loaves on hand for those of you who miss out on ordering or need an extra loaf for a last-minute get-together.

Well… apparently, you had other plans! 🤣 Yesterday, FIVE different people texted me asking if I happened to have any bread available. Those five loaves didn’t even get a chance to make it into the freezer! ❤️

So, bright and early this morning, I baked two more loaves to start our little stash of “freezer loaves.” 🍞

✨ Both loaves are available to claim! ✨

🍞 Just because the bakery is on break this week doesn’t mean we’re relaxing! 😂

We’ve been keeping ourselves BUSY over here at Crumb Cottage! 🏡❤️

Here’s a little peek at what we’ve been up to this week:

🥨 Testing out some NEW recipes, including a delicious snack mix!
🍞 Baking plain sourdough loaves to stock the freezer for those last-minute bread cravings!
🍫 Working on perfecting a fudge recipe for our Christmas cookie boxes (yes, we’re already thinking about Christmas! 🎄).
👩‍⚕️ Working an extra shift at my regular job (for those who don’t know, I’m an RN!).
🎨 Painting our ENTIRE garage to give it a fresh, new look! Moving everything out of the garage so we could get our garage floor repaired and coated.

And, of course, we’re still keeping up with our regular schedule of homeschooling and dance multiple days a week. 💃📚

I’m getting tired just TYPING all of that! 🤣☕️

Even though we’re taking a little break from our regular baking schedule, we’re always working behind the scenes to bring you new goodies and make Crumb Cottage even better!

We can’t wait to share everything we’ve been working on with you! ❤️

This kid loves to eat non-breakfast food for breakfast. Some of her favorite breakfast foods are Italian salad, Cesar salad, steak tacos, and as of yesterday Kung Pao chicken 🤣.
Not sure where she gets this from, certainly not me. I’m a big classic breakfast girl.

It’s hard to believe, but Thanksgiving will be here before we know it! We’re starting to plan ahead and want to hear from you. ❤️

Last year, for Thanksgiving week, we offered Tuesday and Wednesday pickup and gave you the choice between our classic plain sourdough or a special Cranberry Walnut Sourdough. It was such a fun addition to the Thanksgiving table!

We’ll definitely be offering plain sourdough again this year, but we want to know…

🍞 We’re thinking about something new! 🍞

Every week, we get so many texts from those of you asking if we happen to have an extra loaf of plain sourdough available. Since we sell out every single week, it’s pretty rare that we have an extra loaf lying around!

So….we’re considering keeping a small stash of plain sourdough loaves in the deep freezer for those last-minute bread emergencies. 😉

Need a loaf to bring to dinner?
Have unexpected guests coming over?
Forgot to grab bread for the weekend?

Flour restock! 🧑‍🍳

I got so sick of buying flour every single week. So along with the bags already in the basement, this flour should last for the month of October….hopefully lol. And I’ve been too exhausted to go to the gym lately, so it’s a good workout for me carrying it all up and down the basement steps.

Can anyone guess how many pounds of flour we picked up yesterday? ⬇️
