THURSDAY - We are beginning to freshen things up here at Gator. Scaffolding is being put in place, but you will enter the front door as usual. We will have a fresh coat of paint and new aluminium cladding just in time for Wheeling's 250th Birthday! Who remembers when I was climbing 42' ladders, stripping all the wood trim, and then painting the entire exterior? I'm passing that job off these days. SOUP POTATO - Come on down. I'm eager to visit with you.

FRIDAY - Have you heard? LIBRARY WEEK is April 19-25th. Later Gator has partnered with 9 other local businesses and is celebrating through the end of the month! Play along and enter to win OCPL's Basket filled with goodies and gift cards from the participating businesses. Gator begins the fun with "What the Dickens", a chocolate espresso with steamed milk and chocolate liquor. We'll have a special crêpe in the coming days to add to your choices. Some great news, friends! You might remember our good friend Jasmyn King was in a horrible automobile accident in mid-February. Weeks in the ICU, etc. Jasmyn came home today! She has a very long road to recovery ahead of her, but to be able to see her 4-year-old daughter regularly is what Maeve has been waiting for. Her sister is with her and will stay until she can manage on her own. This made my day. Welcome her back!

It's official. Our SHRIMP PO-BOY is on the menu EVERY FRIDAY. We had a glorious day in the courtyard, and it won't be long before it'll become a regular thing. Friday soups are chowders, and tomorrow is Corn Chowder with Shrimp and Roasted Red Peppers.
