🥢 Since 1996, Hollywood East Cafe has been a part of Wheaton, MD — serving up Hong Kong-style dim sum and Chinese cuisine made with love by the Yu family.
From rolling dim sum carts to pan-fried dumplings, and crispy shredded beef, every dish has been a memory shared with you.

We’ll be closing our doors on August 24, 2025. As our lease comes to an end, we’re reflecting on this incredible journey — and looking forward to new beginnings.
Whether you’ve been with us since the '90s or just discovered us recently, thank you for making Hollywood East Cafe feel like home.

Though this restaurant chapter is ending, our story isn’t over:
• Janet will be growing Grannie Yu’s with chili oil, dumpling sauce, almond cookies & more.
• Timothy will continue hosting pop-ups with Red Thread Table, and offering private catering featuring Hong Kong inspired cuisine.
• Corey’s next adventure is just beginning.
