The NCAA D1 baseball tournament " The Road to Omaha" begins tomorrow.

If Auburn wins, You win!

** Each time Auburn Baseball gets a win in the the tournament we will be offering food discounts when you come into the restaurant and greet us with "WAR EAGLE" or "WAR DAMN EAGLE"

If you have followed me or this business page for awhile, over the last several years, you've probably seen photos of my oldest daughter & I in attendance for games at the Men's College Baseball World Series.

One tradition I love during that week is the locals in Omaha always pick a team to get behind for the tournament. It is usually not the team(s) considered favorites to win the tournament but the town picks the team and then roots for them as if they are the home team.

This year, since my daughter is a student at Auburn & we have a "tiger" in the fight, I'm going to start making that case early for AU in the hopes they can get to Omaha!

So starting tomorrow, food discounts for every Auburn Tiger baseball win during the 2026 tournament.

We will be at Winner's Pub tonight from 4pm-7pm

Tonight the special will be a competition style whole hog dinner to include chopped hog, southern greens, mac n cheese and cornbread.
Some down home stuff!

Other available items will be ribs, brisket and burnt ends.

As some know, I kind of backed off on the bbq competition side of things for a bit. Oldest daughter graduating from high school and moving into college. Youngest daughter getting close to high school and I just wanted to try to be a little more attentive to my wife and kids

A few weeks back a friend of mine and our bbq team passed away and I was invited to go cook with his team at Memphis in May. Ricky Bobby was just a really good guy and so much fun to be around. So much laughter and good times over the years.

Although I would have love to and truly appreciate that opportunity, I decided to forego the opportunity and hang back for family and business commitments.

I did however have an opportunity to cook a competition hog with Pat Scott a former team member of the Steamboat BBQ team and current team member of Ricky's team the 3 Taxi Guys in hopes that we could send some good vibes to Memphis for their team. Pat is using one of our smokers and we wanted to make sure it was dialed in.

Although we have so many friends and acquaintances that will be competing there this week, I personally will be rooting for Jamie and the gang to bring it home! No offense to any of the other teams. You know we love y'all too!

So on behalf of all the Steamboat BBQ team and family...A personal toast to you Ricky! God speed!

Happy Mother's Day!

When we started this business, I never would have predicted that Mother's Day would be one of the biggest rib days of the year or bbq in general, but here we are almost 13 years later and we are loaded for the day...
