Wow… what a ride.. 26 years ago I drove into Wharton looking to sub-rent space to operate my growing advertising agency and drove out buying this green “pill box” looking building on the Washington Forge pond… the “Old Mill”. What a journey to watch the town grow and prosper and to think we were part of that. Thank you for this opportunity….. all the years of great experiences.
I have sold the ”Old Mill” and CJs Steak House to another group who will now carry this property forward on its next leg. They have been very successful in the restaurant / hospitality arena and have such a great vision for going forward.
I want to thank everyone for contributing to our success… even the nay sayers who gave us a one star review put a smile on our face. We learned from your critiques and it helped us make changes that contributed to our success.
All our patrons have been so kind with their support. Our staff has been so instrumental in our success. I am sure some if not all will continue to be here contributing to the success of the new owner.
Be well my friends. Your future in Wharton looks very bright. This small town continues to grow and prosper under its governance and with the support of all the residents. And thanks to all who traveled some distance to share in the hospitality at CJ's.
26 years … wow who would have thought…
wishing all the best
