💜 SEPTEMBER IS SU***DE PREVENTION MONTH 💜
I just want to say something that’s been on my mind…
CHECK ON YOUR PEOPLE. ❤️
And I mean REALLY check on them.
Check on the friend who is always making everyone laugh.
The one who is always there for everybody else.
The one who says, “I’m fine” way too quickly.
The one you haven’t heard from in a while.
Because the truth is, you never really know what someone is carrying. 💔
Sometimes people get really good at hiding their pain. They show up, they laugh, they go to work, they take care of their families and everybody thinks they’re doing just fine.
So send the damn text. 😂
Make the phone call.
Ask the question.
“Are you really okay?”
And if they say they’re not… LISTEN. You don’t have to have the right words or magically fix everything. Just be there. Sometimes knowing someone gives a s**t is enough to get a person through another day. 🫶
And if YOU are the person who isn’t okay right now, please don’t convince yourself that you’re alone or that you’re a burden.
YOU MATTER. ❤️
Call somebody. Text somebody. Wake somebody up if you have to. I promise there is someone who would rather lose a little sleep listening to you than lose you forever.
📞 Call or text 988 anytime, day or night.
And please remember… September may be Su***de Prevention Month, but checking on the people we love shouldn’t be a once-a-year thing.
Life can be hard as hell sometimes.
People need people.
So let’s be those people for each other. 💜
Check on your friends. Check on your family. Check on the ones who always seem okay.
And if nobody has checked on you lately…
Consider this me checking on you. ❤️
How are you REALLY doing?
