I do love the long summer days. If it’s supposed to be white, it is now WHITE. All tape has been pulled. Now just gonna let it dry over night to make sure it is good to go, then gonna tape off the white and go with the mustard yellow!

The story on the world famous bright mustard yellow hand built Alabama Devil Dawgs, LLC, cart. As you may or may not know, I have several other gigs. Those gigs have been occupying most of my time as of late. That said, today, well this afternoon anyway, was a rare occasion that I didn’t have anything else going on.

I took this time to prep the cart for paint. The cart is now completely ready for white paint.

So while everybody is enjoying their dogs, burgers, ribs and bar-b-que, I’m doing some deep cleaning of the cart to keep our 100% health department rating.

In other news, Alabama has passed SB197! In a nutshell, the law puts into place a system whereby the state only requires a single health inspection and single fire inspection to work the entire state. In other words, if I have my inspections done in Elmore County, I don’t have to have them “re-done” if I decide to work in another county. This significantly cuts down on the time, paperwork, and expense of being a mobile hot dawg cart.

I said all of that to say this: Hopefully soon, we’ll be on the streets again!
