Red Onion Grill & Bar at Lake Almanor is seeking responsible, reliable, detail-oriented Dishwasher/Prep Cook to join our back-of-house team

Responsibilities:
Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
Maintain cleanliness of dish station, sinks, and work areas
Collect and sort trash, recyclables, and kitchen waste
Assist with basic food prep or clearing duties as needed
Support smooth kitchen workflow by promptly responding to service needs
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
Assist with opening and closing side work as assigned

Previous dishwashing or kitchen support experience preferred, but not required; reliability, attention to detail and willingness to learn is important
Must be available for full set schedule: Wednesday-Sunday, 4:30PM – close (usually 9:30PM – 10:30PM)

Pay and Benefits:
Starting wage $18/hr plus shared tips (approximately $5/hr)
Year-end sick leave cash-out program
50% employee discount on all menu items
Shift drink
Open year-round with the same schedule, days and hours

As a reminder, our dining room will be closed tomorrow, Friday night, to allow us to celebrate with two of our kitchen staff, Adam Laboda and Craig McNeil, graduating high school!

The bar will still be open with regular hours, and the bar menu will be available.

We do apologize for any inconvenience. Our dining room will be open again on Saturday at 5PM.
