Hey y’all, we’ve been working around the clock to get our food truck back on the road… and it’s finally time!! 🚚🛣🔥

Looking back through these old pictures brought back a lot of memories.

We started under pop-up tents, graduated to the food truck, eventually opened our restaurant, and now after everything this year has thrown at us we’re getting back to our roots and taking South Texas Barbecue Company back on the road. 🤘🏼🔥

It may look a little different for a while, but the mission hasn’t changed:

Make great barbecue. Serve good people. Keep moving forward.

We’ll be announcing our first stop very soon. 👀

Brisket coming soon... 😉🛣️🔥

We’ve received more messages, phone calls and emails than we could possibly respond to. It means a lot to us, and Jessica and I just wanted to say thank you. ❤️

It’s been almost 3 weeks since our last update. Honestly, so much has changed over the last couple months, and it’s taken us a little time to process everything and figure out what comes next.

In the meantime, we’re still doing what we do. This brisket went out for a catering today. 🔥

Now we’re ready to get the food truck back on the road. We’re targeting next weekend. 🛣️

So... where should we set up first? 👀

📢A new chapter for South Texas Barbecue Company -WV ❤️

We know some of you have seen that our current location has been listed for rent, and we wanted you to hear directly from us:

South Texas Barbecue Company is moving, but we are NOT closing.

After the flooding in July, we truly hoped we would be able to repair, rebuild, and get back to business as usual at our current location. Unfortunately, the remediation process and continued construction have left us unable to operate consistently and sustainably from this space.

There is more to this decision than we can reasonably share in a Facebook post, but our focus is on moving forward and doing what is right for our family, our employees, and the future of South Texas Barbecue Company.

We have not identified our next permanent location yet, but we are looking, and SoTex is absolutely not going anywhere.

🔥 All existing catering bookings are safe and will be fulfilled as scheduled.

🔥 We intend to get back to our roots and return to food truck service as soon as possible while we search for our next home.

🔥 Catering will continue to be available, and we’ll share food truck locations and schedules as soon as we have them lined up.

We appreciate everyone who has supported us through all of this. Right now, our focus is getting our equipment moved, taking care of our employees, fulfilling our catering commitments, and getting the food truck back out as soon as possible.

We’re leaving this location, but South Texas Barbecue Company isn’t going anywhere. ❤️🔥
