As many of you know, we had to abruptly pause operations at our weekday location, The Cafe at Tech Court, three weeks ago. Since then, we’ve been in ongoing discussions with the building owner and leadership at FR Conversions to explore what would be needed for us to reopen.
During this unexpected break, Tony and I have had time to reflect on our journey. The Cafe at Tech Court came into our lives at a time when we weren’t sure our Main Street restaurant would survive to opening. That opportunity gave us a lifeline and a chance to keep doing what we love. We’ve always believed in showing up, doing the work, and trusting that the right people would show up too. And they have. We’re incredibly grateful to every person who believed in us, supported us, and helped us along the way.
Ultimately, the terms required for reopening the Cafe aren’t something we’re in a position to take on right now. So, we’ve made the difficult decision to officially close The Cafe at Tech Court and shift our full attention to Collision Course, our soul food restaurant on Main Street.
To our friends at FR Conversions, past and present, thank you. It’s been an honor to serve you over the last two years. We’ve formed real relationships and loved being a part of your workdays. We hope you’ll come see us just a few minutes away in downtown Westminster.
Looking ahead, this transition has opened up new possibilities for us. We’re excited to expand our hours and begin offering weekday lunch at Collision Course starting Monday 7/14. We’re also working on launching online ordering and delivery soon more details coming this week. We will continue being closed on Wednesdays for the time being while we adjust to this new dynamic.
