David Michael McLaughlin
David Michael (“Mac”) McLaughlin, 58, of Southboro, Massachusetts, and South Paris, Maine, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024, due to organ failure.
David worked in construction in central Massachusetts where he lived most of his life. He was a master carpenter and a jack of all trades. He carried an inventor’s intuition for construction and repair. He was a skilled and sought-after craftsman.
Later in life, David left the construction industry and pursued another of his passions, cooking. As the proprietor of Mac’s Wraps, David served local businesses and breweries to positive reviews and repeat customers.
Above all, David was generous with both his spirit and his time. He donated his carpentry and construction skills to both friends and family. Always with a smile and a “hello.”
David is survived by his brother, Mark McLaughlin (wife, Mary) of Clinton, Massachusetts, his sister, Claire Pendergast (husband, John) of Santa Barbara, California, and nieces and nephews, Bryan Fontaine, Kaley McLaughlin, Mae Pendergast, Quinn Pendergast, Kelley Mullen (husband, Mike), Danielle Kenyon (husband, Tyler), Meaghan Fors (husband, Adam), Shawn Patterson (wife, Rachel), and Connor Kelley.
A celebration of life will take place in the new year; announcement forthcoming. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Hospice House of Andwell Health Partners (Andwell.org) or the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD.org).
