Hi everyone this is Luka. He is the grandson of Martin, the owner of Two Amigos. Luka was diagnosed with a kidney condition called nephrotic syndrome in 2023 at just 2 years old. Nephrotic syndrome is a serious and rare auto-immune disease that causes the kidneys to shut down. there is no known cause or cure. Treatments are extremely limited to steroids, cancer, and transplant medications. Luka has spent a majority of his life in and out of the hospital, having multiple surgeries, getting labs drawn, and so much more. Despite all this, you always find him with a smile on his face. By taking daily medications, Luka has been stable since October 2025💚
Throughout his nephrotic syndrome journey, his family found The Nephrotic Syndrome Foundation which has been a huge support to the whole family. Their annual summer fundraiser is a lemonade stand and Luka is ready to see you all on Saturday September 26 at Two Amigos!
The West community has been a big part of their lives since the restaurant opened in West and they can’t wait to see the impact you all will make by helping Luka out. We can’t wait to see everyone at Lemonade for Luka! 💛🍋 come grab a freshly made lemonade made by Luka himself and then enjoy a hot fresh meal at Two Amigos 😋
