We’re incredibly excited to share that Urban Cellar took home the People’s Choice Award for Best Savory Dish at the Meals from the Heartland 2026 Compete & Eat! 🎉🍽️

A huge congratulations to Chef Nick and Kyle Foote for representing Urban Cellar and creating a dish of Crispy Brussels & Pork Belly that won over the crowd! 👏

Urban Cellar, located in West Des Moines, Iowa, is a family restaurant owned by Matt and Nicole Thompson, built on their commitment to great food, hospitality, and community. Urban Cellar offers a welcoming, modern atmosphere and a large menu featuring a range of meals, including appetizers, handhelds, pastas, and pizzas. One of our favorite menu items is their Cavatelli made with Graziano Bros. Italian Sausage. They also offer a variety of w**es and specialty cocktails to enjoy with your meal. Urban Cellar is a standout destination in West Des Moines.
