Thank you to everyone for celebrating the 11th anniversary of Corazon Coffee Roasters with me this week! It is a joy to work here every day and bring you the best certified organic coffee! ☕

Some bonus coffee trivia for you:
-Brazil is the top coffee producing country (35%), almost double that of the second highest producing country, Vietnam (18%).
-Lighter roast will have more caffeine than darker roasts.
-There is no "espresso" bean. Espresso beans are regular coffee beans roasted and ground for espresso brewing.
-Coffee is the second most traded commodity, second only to oil.
-There are roughly 2.25 billion cups of coffee consumed daily across the world.

Once the coffee bean has been picked, there are two different ways it is processed; washed (wet) and natural (dry). Washed is when the beans are soaked and run through water to get the coffee cherry's outer fruit removed. Then they are generally dried on raised flat beds. Natural is when the beans are laid out on flat beds and allowed to dry inside the cherry's fruit, absorbing the sugars and flavors from the cherry's fruit.

What is your favorite or preferred way to make your coffee in the morning? I always have a pour over (or 2..or 3...sometimes 4) in my clever dripper. 🍒 ☕

Even though they are called coffee beans, they are actually the seeds (or pits) of the coffee cherry. The two main types of coffee are "arabica" and "robusta". All coffees at Corazon Coffee Roasters are arabica beans. They just taste better! 😀☕

What is your favorite coffee? At Corazon my two favorites are Honduras and Ethiopian Sidama.

Coffee was originally discovered in Ethiopia. This discovery is generally attributed to a goat herder when he noticed that his goats became more "hyper" and energetic after eating the coffee berries. A decade plus one. Today is the 11th anniversary of me owning Corazon Coffee Roasters! Thank you to everyone who has supported me over the years. I wouldn't be here today without all of you.
