Just spitballing here… ☕️

Should I start facing my coffee bags backwards?

Let’s look at the evidence.

Pros:

1. Roast date is front and center. 📅

2. Grocery store employees can scan the barcode for inventory without turning the bag around. ✅

3. You get a little bit of the story behind Coffalo. 🚴☕️🐶

4. A shelf full of backwards bags definitely makes you look twice. ✅

5. No more squeezing the life out of the bag for a whiff.👃☕️

Cons:

1. You can’t see the front of the bag. But how hard is it to turn the bag around? 🤷

I mean… it’s not the worst idea I’ve ever had. 🙃

When the weather cooperates, the bike comes out, Bugsy hops in, and the coffee hits the road.

Roasting coffee is pretty great, but cruising around town delivering it with my girl might be my favorite part of the job.

Wouldn’t have it any other way.😊👍

And we’re coming back with Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew, made exclusively with pumpkin spice syrup from Renn’s Café in Nevada, Iowa. 🎃☕️

A couple weeks ago, I was stocking coffee at a local Hy-Vee on a rainy morning.

A mom and her little one stopped and said, “We really love your coffee.” I smiled and said, “Thank you very much.” 😊

A few seconds passed. She was still standing there…staring and said:

“It’s like seeing the Tooth Fairy.” ☕️🧚

I laughed out loud, accept the compliment and I told her it was one of the sweetest things anyone’s ever said to me. 🤣

So here’s the rainy day fit. 🌧️

No quarters under your pillow, just fresh, hot air roasted coffee landing on your local shelves. ☕️

As Coffalo has grown, so has the amount of coffee I’m hauling around.

Sustainability still matters to me, so I’ll be thoughtful about how I use the extra space and the miles I drive.

I guess what that really means is more bike deliveries with Bugsy. She doesn’t seem too upset about it. Neither am I.

And to everyone who’s supported Coffalo and helped it grow, thank you. Without you, none of this would be possible. None of it.

The Prius gave me 14 good years. 🏆

We biked 68 miles from Boone to Marshalltown during RAGBRAI, handing out coffee samples along the way. 🚴☕️🐶

Turns out enough people asked where they could buy it.

Now they can.😎

Coffalo Coffee is now available at the Marshalltown Hy-Vee. Hot air roasted right here in Iowa.👍
