Excited to announce I have taken the Chef de Cuisine position at Parker's and Myrtle's Fur Vault and Bar up here in Sioux Falls! To all of my supporters over the years I just want to say thank you, I couldn't have made it to this pinnacle of my career without all of you. Come up and see me sometime!

It is with a heavy heart, great sadness and defeat that we announce the Closure of The Bohemian Duck, effective immediately. We so appreciate our steadfast staff for sticking it out through thick and thin and hope only good things in their futures.

We opened our doors two weeks before COVID shut downs and survived it. We navigated through staff shortages and inflation unlike our industry has ever seen. We adapted our vision to better fit what West Point locals said they wanted, but it wasn’t enough. Without the support of our West Point residents, we cannot make it.

Thank you to our local producers for sharing the vision, it’s been quite a journey and we wouldn’t have made it this far without your awesome products and good human-ness. Thank you to our guests who traveled from surrounding cities to enjoy our offerings and support a small business; you made this all worth while. Keep supporting local whenever possible!

Fresh blueberry, sage & blood orange with Empress 1908 Gin

From Dusty: “My weekend cocktail. The Blue Sage. A basic gin sour with muddled blueberry, blood orange juice and sage.

The gin sour is a classic cocktail that dates back to the mid-19th century. It is believed to have originated as a variation of the traditional whiskey sour, which typically consisted of whiskey, lemon juice, and sugar. The gin sour swaps out the whiskey for gin, resulting in a crisp, refreshing drink. The cocktail rose in popularity during the 1920s and 30s, when gin was a popular spirit in America. Today, the gin sour remains a staple in the world of cocktails. This particular variation has a spike of extra sweetness and an herbal finish, accented by the floral notes of the Empress Gin.”
