To be a good shepherd is to understand that leadership is not about power—it is about service. 🐑

A shepherd watches over the flock, protects the vulnerable, seeks the lost, strengthens the weary, and celebrates those who find their way home.

That is the kind of leadership Christ calls us to.

As a church community, we are called to look beyond ourselves—to notice the person who feels forgotten, welcome the person who feels like an outsider, encourage the person who is struggling, and walk alongside those who need guidance.

We may not all stand in a pulpit, but we can all shepherd someone.

Our words can guide.
Our actions can serve.
Our compassion can heal.
Our presence can remind someone that they are not alone.

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” — John 10:11

May we be a community that doesn't just talk about love—but lives it, shares it, and leads others toward it.

🐑 Lead with love. Serve with purpose. Shepherd with grace.

May God guide their steps, strengthen their hearts, give them wisdom, and surround them with teachers, friends, and mentors who encourage them along the way.

As we go about our daily routines, it's easy to take something as simple as clean water for granted. Today, our hearts are with the people of Puerto Rico who are facing water shortages and challenges that impact families, children, the elderly, and entire communities.

We lift Puerto Rico up in prayer, asking God to provide relief, restoration, and the resources needed to meet every household's basic needs. May leaders be guided with wisdom, emergency workers be strengthened, and every family find comfort, hope, and support during this difficult time.

We also remember the many people around the world facing hardship—those affected by natural disasters, conflict, poverty, illness, hunger, displacement, and uncertainty. May God's peace reach every hurting heart, His protection cover those in danger, and His provision sustain those in need.

Lord, remind us to be grateful for our blessings, compassionate toward others, and willing to help where we can. May we never grow indifferent to the struggles of our neighbors, whether they are next door or across the world.

Praying for Puerto Rico, and all those who struggle around the world 🙏🏻🤍
