As two 21 year olds from Chicago attending Purdue University, we decided to open a restaurant that filled the glaring need for that unique Chicago cuisine. We set out to serve and deliver the basic Chicago favorites; Chicago style hot dogs, gyros, and Italian beef. Along the way we realized that it would be a shame not to have unique burgers and chicken sandwiches to add our own twist to Chicago s
tyle food. Since 2008 we have been perfecting our menu to help meet the needs of our customers. As always, one of the best things about AJ’s is our food will be delivered to you, no matter where you are, at almost any hour. Inside our restaurant, customers notice our casual dining area that gives the customer a laid-back Chicago feel which is great for the families and the students. Since our 2008 opening, we have quickly climbed the charts as one of Greater Lafayette’s best eateries, being nominated in the Purdue Exponent and Lafayette Journal and Courier for “Best Late Night”, “Best Delivery”, and “Best Burger Restaurant”. In 2015, we finally reached the top, as we were voted Best Burger by the Purdue Exponent. Since day one, we have maintained a close relationship with the community and the customers and always give back to various local organizations through team sponsorships and skip-a-meals.
