Chef Trent has been working this past year buying ingredients from local Ashe County Farmers. This was a rocky start as there wasn't much of a connection between local and commercial.

One year in. Here we go with our first "Top of the Summer Harvest Feast from Ashe County" dinner.

Connecting bounty to creativity.

Now that we are having some success working with, sourcing, and creating dishes based on local producers, we are blown away at the variety and quality of what is coming out of our mineral soils. And, the livestock, which just take sunshine, cool mornings, bountiful rain, and care from our farmers is producing a different, older and more rooted meal than anything that comes shipped in from Timbukto.
