My Grandmother always cooked tasty food. But one day, she put a burnt pie in front of my Grandpa.
Not just a little burnt, but black as coal.
I waited to see what my Grandpa would say.
But he just ate the pie n asked how my day was.
Then i heard my Grand Mother apologize to him for his dinner.
I'll never forget his response.
"Dear, i like ur pie."
Later, i asked him if he had told the truth.
He put his arm on my shoulder n said, "Ur Grandma had a tough day at work."
"She was tired."
"The burnt pie didn't harm me but, a sharp word could've hurt her."
We all make mistakes.
We shouldn't focus on mistakes but, support those we love.

Hello folks! As most of you know,we are CLOSED. We sold the business. Tom is now living with Mike & I. Paul is in college. Mom lives in our front yard,in the camper that used to be at the restaurant. She is NOT homeless. We will be taking down our page at the end of this week.

Well, that's all folks. Hoping we see you around. We are not sold as of yet. Close but 4days before settlement, nope. Its like a rollercoaster I can't get off of. December was horrible. I spent 4 days in the hospital for kidney stones. During that time, they found out that I'm diabetic. Was doing ok on insulin but PC changed me to oral meds and I had an awful reaction that lasted for a week. Still not up to par. We are still FOR SALE & Toms truck is for sale. There's rust on the frame so it will not pass PA inspection. Other than that, it's in awesome shape. Also our tables & chairs & misc. items are for sale. I'll try to get pictures posted on here in the next few days.
We want ALL of you to know that we are grateful for your support,kindness & caring words. I honestly already feel,i guess the word would be lost. My life has been here,35 years.
You all made that possible for Tom and i, how do we say THANK YOU? Always--Tom & Eva

Here is our menu for Friday.( 11 / 9 )
#1 pan fried chicken
#2 chicken n dumplings
each come with 2 sides and cornbread or a biscuit

Our sides are,
mashed potatoes, green beans, mac -n- cheese, stewed tomatoes, coleslaw and applesauce.

we will also have desserts available and they are,
peach cobbler, coconut custard pie, rice pudding, cherry crumb pie.

we ask for a donation of $10 for dinner and $2.50 for dessert

please place orders before 6 pm Thursday.
