Look at these two! They look like theyāre on a cupcake date, donāt they!š¤My two favorite people, my Mom and Dad.
We use all kinds of recipes at the shop, and let me tell youā¦these two, are an essential ingredient in the recipe of Paisley & Dash, and as its story continues to unfold - they shape it in ways they donāt even knowš
They have walked with me every step of this cupcake journeyā¦from āhey guys, I think Iām going to quit my CAREER and sell cupcakes onlineā to āhey guys I think I need a dumbwaiter at the house to get all my shipping boxes upstairs for FedEx so I donāt have to run up and down my steps 35 timesā to āso I think I need a bigger oven and I actually maybeā¦ to build a commercial kitchenā¦ā š³
And you know what? NEVER do they say āno you canāt do thatā or āno thatās not gonna workā etc. Do they offer caution and perspective where necessary? Sure, of course - theyāre my parentsā¦but the way they have encouraged and supported me has been such a gift. Itās like 2 sets of invisible hands on my back, softly guiding and pushing me forward.
Now, every time I pull up to the bakery, I get to picture thisā¦them sweetly sitting at the cupcake counterš I hope they enjoy this photo, as much as I will cherish it foreverš
*I wish I could squeeze my ENTIRE fambam in this pic, thatās a whole other post. I donāt know how I got so luckyā¦HEAPING spoonfuls of love and support. In fact, one of my Aunties just texted me a recipe to pass on downā¦šand thought it would be a good addition to the shop. Soā¦stay tuned for that!šš¤š¤
