Running a restaurant is hard, so it’s important you start each day strong. Espresso, acqua panna, and Mason’s Fave. Mason’s Fave is a cocktail made with plum syrup, Fernet Branco, scotch, and bitters and it’s probably the most delicious breakfast combo you can imagine. Drink cocktails for breakfast. This is a Mexican pasta. Very traditional, as Mexico is the home of pasta. I remember back when I was a little hija, and my abuelita had the pot of water going for the pastas that she had made that day. It was a wonderful time. We roasted poblano peppers, tomatillos and jalapeños, then crumbled chicharrones on top. We called it if I was green I would die, like that song blue da ba Dee da boo dah da boo Dee dah bo dah.

It’s Thursday night. You’re 8 years old. Your mom and dad take you to a Fridays cause that’s the only nice restaurant in town. They whisper fight next to you while you draw on the kids menu. The hungover waitress brings you microwaved chicken tenders that you eat 3 bites of then say you’re full. But you’d still have room for dessert. The waitress brings you a dirt pie. Life is good.
