I am so excited to finally share what we have been working toward…

The Magnolia Southern Kitchen will be opening Fall 2026 in the building beside Kate’s on 17th.

And before we even open the doors… The Magnolia has its very first catering event THIS Saturday! Details will be in the comments.

This new concept is exactly what it sounds like - down-home Southern cooking. Comfort food. Food for your soul. The kind of meals that remind you of Sunday afternoons, family gatherings, and sitting around the table a little longer.

There are also some BIG changes coming to Kate’s Coffee.

We are working on:

• A remodeled and expanded bakery area
• Larger dining spaces with more comfortable seating
• Better areas to work, meet, gather, and celebrate
• More outdoor seating and green space

(Please forgive the AI rendering - it’s just a vision board for now! 😂) I am currently working with a local artist to bring the Magnolia murals to life and a local nursery to help us design the outdoor spaces.

The goal is to create one beautiful, cohesive space connecting Kate’s Coffee, The Magnolia Southern Kitchen, the pergola area, and everything in between - a place where you can come for coffee with a friend, lunch with your family, dinner, birthdays, anniversaries, meetings, and all the everyday moments too.

After that, we will be turning our attention to curbside ordering, online ordering, delivery options, and expanded (and much better 🙌) parking.

It is going to take A LOT of hard work and resources - and many of you already know we have been working our patooties off with the help of J & M Electrical... but when it is finished, I truly believe it is going to be something special.

Something built right here, for all of us to share.

Our next steps:

* Open Kate’s on Milam (within the next week 🎉)
* Hire my Executive Operations Assistant
* Finish the current bakery remodel
* Expand Kate’s dining room
* Build out The Magnolia and create the connecting green space

Dropping a Little Coffee Knowledge:

The girls called me upset because they had a mad customer (it really does bother us if you aren't 100% satisfied).

Customer ordered a 16 oz Cappuccino but when the drink got home it had dropped to what she estimated was 12 oz.

So I made a Cappuccino in a clear glass at home so I can explain some coffee info

BUT James Joseph has agreed to extend the competition to END OF BUSINESS TODAY, and upped the ante just a bit.
