🚨 PUBLIC NOTICE🚨
The Texas Department of State Health Services confirmed traps collected by Brazoria County Mosquito Control District on June 25, 2026, tested positive for West Nile Virus.
📍 The mosquito traps were located at:
➡️ 1. Cripple Creek & Wood Creek, Pearland
➡️ 2. Orange Street and Rain Lilly Ct., Pearland
Mosquito Control will spray the affected area twice nightly for the next three nights. The area will be retested next week.
Residents are encouraged to help protect themselves from mosquito bites by following these suggestions:
✔️Use insect repellent containing DEET, picaridin, or oil of lemon eucalyptus.
✔️Wear light colored, loose-fitting, long-sleeved shirts and pants to limit exposed skin.
✔️Remove standing water around your home. Make sure flower pots, water dishes, bird baths, and wading pools are properly drained.
✔️Stay indoors at dusk and dawn, when mosquitoes are most active.
