We’ll be spinning folk and protest records from Latin America — artists who have resisted dictatorships, disappearances, and other forms of violence and who have supported revolutions in Cuba and Nicaragua. The event will also serve as a fundraiser for Organized Communities Against Deportation (OCAD), and Plena Mercancía will donate a portion of the proceeds from the event to mutual aid funds for families affected by immigration enforcement in Chicago.
