Strength Training for Women: The Statistics Every Woman Should Know

❤️ Heart Health & Longevity
Women who strength train 2–3 times per week have:
* 26% lower risk of death from all causes
* 30% lower risk of cardiovascular death

A study following nearly 150,000 adults for 30 years found that just:
90–120 minutes of strength training per week
was associated with:
* 13% lower overall mortality
* 19% lower cardiovascular mortality
* 27% lower neurological disease mortality

Love the information. It’s necessary. But why do I REALLY workout? To lose weight? Get “toned”?

It’s a simple answer really.

When my daughter needs my body for nourishment, I can provide what she needs and still give my body what it needs.

So when my daughter falls asleep while I’m in the middle of the lake, I can confidently swim her back to the boat so she can nap, knowing my legs are strong enough to get me there even without my arms.

So when we go on adventures, I’m capable of carrying my daughter 17,000+ steps a day so her little legs don’t have to keep up.

When we have a fun day out, I can walk around with my kids so they can enjoy the day without my slowing down.

When my son asks me to a field trip, I have the stamina to keep up and enjoy quality time with my kid.

When we move, I can help load/unload boxes and I have the ability to carry them where they need to go. Then I can build whatever I need to so my family is taken care of.

So my kids see me strong, capable and willing to do what it takes to keep my body healthy, despite any health issue that comes my way.

Why do I workout? Because they’re watching. 💪

Strength Training for Women: The Statistics Every Woman Should Know

Today’s topic: Bone Density and Osteoporosis Prevention

🦴 Bone health isn’t just something to think about when you’re older—it’s something you build now.

About 80% of people with osteoporosis are women, and women can lose up to 20% of their bone density in the first 5–7 years after menopause.

The good news? Strength training is one of the most effective tools we have to fight back.

A 2025 meta-analysis found that resistance training significantly improved bone mineral density in postmenopausal women, with improvements seen in the **lumbar spine, femoral neck (hip), and total hip**—areas most vulnerable to fractures.

✨ In your 20s and 30s, you’re building peak bone mass.
✨ In your 40s and 50s, you’re slowing bone loss and supporting hormonal changes.
✨ In your 60s and beyond, you’re reducing fracture risk, maintaining independence, and preserving your quality of life.

We spend so much time chasing smaller bodies that we forget to build stronger ones.

Strength training isn’t just about aesthetics. It’s about protecting your future self. It’s about being able to carry groceries, travel, play with your grandkids, and move through life with confidence for decades to come.

If the gym feels intimidating or you don’t know where to start, that’s exactly why I do what I do. I help women learn how to train safely, build strength with confidence, and create healthy habits that last a lifetime.

Don’t wait until bone loss becomes a problem to start investing in your health. Let’s build the strongest version of you—together. Message me to get started. 💪🖤

New Series!

Strength Training for Women - The Statistics Every Woman Should Know.

Today’s topic: Muscle, Metabolism & Weight Loss

Strength training is one of the most powerful tools women have for improving health, longevity, body composition, brain function, and quality of life—especially as we age.

Starting around age 30, women lose 3–8% of muscle mass per decade, and that rate accelerates after menopause. Strength training helps preserve and rebuild that muscle, which keeps metabolism higher and makes long-term weight management easier.

💪Women who strength train regularly experience:
💪 Increased resting metabolic rate
💪 Improved insulin sensitivity
💪 Better blood sugar control
💪 Greater fat loss while maintaining lean muscle mass

Lifting weights isn’t just fitness—it’s one of the most evidence-based investments you can make in your future health. And knowing these statistics only changes your life when you take action. Send me a message and let’s get you started! ❤️

I can tell you how I coach. I can tell you about my programs. I can tell you about the results.

But the people who can explain the experience best are the women who have lived it.

This isn’t just about weight loss, muscle gain, or fitting into smaller clothes. It’s about confidence, consistency, and learning how to take care of yourself in a way that actually lasts.

So instead of hearing it from me, hear it from one of my clients.

👇 Read her words and see her transformation for yourself.

“I was always intimidated by the gym until I started training with Lana. She is incredibly personable, supportive, and knows exactly how to challenge you while making you feel comfortable and confident. Since working with her, I’ve become stronger, have more energy, and have seen amazing changes not only in the gym but in my everyday life as well.“

If you’re ready for your own success story, I have some training spots open. Message me “READY” and let’s talk about your goals.

**posting this again because I got self conscious about my progress and deleted it. 🫠😅**

Not posing vs. posing — same body, different intention.

Progress doesn’t always look how you expect it to, and I’m not where I ultimately want to be yet… but I *am* proof that showing up consistently works.

Five months dealing with a back injury, three babies later, and I’m finally starting to feel like myself again. Not because everything is perfect — but because I kept going anyway.

Results don’t come from waiting until you feel ready. They come from working toward a goal, even on the days you feel off, tired, or behind.

If you’ve been waiting for the “right time” — this is it.

Let’s build your strength, your confidence, and your results together. DM me to get started 💪
