Last week at Aurora in West Bloomfield, the owner of Zeni Winery flew in from the Veneto, and Chef’s kitchen was putting out five housemade courses with live music going from the first pour.
Community, cuisine and culture, all in a lively room of people here for the same thing, pasta and wine 🇮🇹
Zeni, a winery running since 1870 brought their Soave Classico to pair with our fresh Caprese to start. Gnocchi with stracciatella and Bardolino Rosé while the room warmed up. Paccheri Norcina with fennel sausage and porcini cream paired with Ripasso Valpolicella. Then, came out Chef’s Mafaldine al Ragù with Lamb ragout and Amarone della Valpolicella to pour with. Lastly, a traditional sicilian Cannoli to end the evening. Nights like this are why we do what we do.
