From staff to volunteers, the people at The Hub are passionate about serving the community—and they're pretty fun to be around, too!

Now, we're looking to grow our team! We're hiring a personable, collaborative, and motivated Hub Ambassador to help guide cafe operations and create a welcoming experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

Let's fill the tip jar for the West Bend Library, Cedar Springs Ranch, Next 18, West Bend Friends of Sculpture, and Wisconsin 9/11 Memorial.

Each of these incredible nonprofit partners + the Volunteer Center Washington County will receive a portion of the tips collected at The Hub throughout the month of September, helping move their missions forward.

Is it PSL season yet?! We know this can be a touchy subject... but since it's September 1st, we decided to launch our Fall menu!!!! 🍂☕️

🦃 The Gobbler: turkey, cheddar cheese, cranberry mayo + stuffing (yes, you heard that right, stuffing!) toasted on sourdough and served with a bag of chips

🍳 English Muffin Sandwich: egg, bacon or sausage + cheddar cheese on an English muffin

🎃 Pumpkin Pie Latte: latte with pumpkin pie sauce topped with whipped cream + pumpkin pie spice

🥪 Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich: chicken, bacon, cheddar cheese + ranch toasted on an artisan roll and served with a bag of chips

Every tip left at The Hub goes right back into the community.

Each month, the tips collected are shared between the Volunteer Center Washington County + our nonprofit partners. With nearly 60 partner organizations, four to five nonprofits receive a portion of the monthly tips, helping them continue the important work they do right here in Washington County.

In July, each of the organizations pictured received $440.10 from the tip jar (presented in August). Here's how they plan to put those funds to work:

Threshold Incorporated: Enhancing its youth facility and exploring new ways to make the space more versatile for multiple purposes.

Elevate: Providing resources to Family Support SUDAC as it helps families find understanding, resources, connection, and hope while navigating challenges.

Interfaith Caregivers of Washington County: Showing appreciation for the volunteers who give of their time and make a difference.

Chix 4 A Cause LTD: Creating Gift of Love baskets to share comfort and care with those in need.

West Bend Labyrinth Garden Earth Sculpture: Supporting future flowers and the ongoing upkeep of the garden.

From flour to fork! 🍝✨

Last night’s pasta-making class with Jen Wimmer was one delicious evening! We had so much fun getting hands-on, learning the art of making pasta from scratch, and creating our own Italian-inspired dishes along the way. 🇮🇹❤️

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and spent their evening at The Hub—and, of course, to Jen for sharing her talent, tips, and love of pasta with us!

Good food, good people, and a whole lot of fun. We’d call that a success! 😋🍝

A BIG Thank You to Our Community! 🎒♥

When our community comes together, we can make a BIG difference for local students! We are incredibly grateful to Johnson Realty & Associates and everyone who helped make this generous donation possible—2,598 school supply items were collected to support students across Washington County!

These supplies will benefit students at:
📚 Decorah Elementary
📚 Fair Park Elementary
📚 Green Tree Elementary
📚 Jackson Elementary
📚 McLane Elementary
📚 Silverbrook Intermediate School

From pencils and notebooks to all the supplies that help students feel prepared and confident for the school year, this donation is a wonderful reminder of what happens when our community chooses to do good together.

We are so thankful to Publisher Mary Fischman and Content Coordinator MJ Berst for giving nonprofits a platform to share the work we do. They feature nonprofits in each of their issues and truly understand the role these organizations play in our community.
