Blues Hog and The Heartland Network are teaming up for an unforgettable BBQ showdown on Saturday, September 26, bringing together 40 backyard cooks for a chance to compete, showcase their skills, and earn a spot on the next season of Barbecue Country.

🏆 The grand champion will take home a Gateway Drum Smoker, a Blues Hog prize pack, $500 AND secure themselves a spot to compete on next season of Barbecue Country, sharing their passion for barbecue with fans across the country.
🥈 Second Place: $250
🥉 Third Place: $100

Join us for a full day of mouthwatering barbecue, live music, competition, and plenty of samples as we celebrate the people who make BBQ what it is.

This competition is open exclusively to amateur cooks. Eligibility is limited to competitors who have never won more than $1,500 in prize money at a single BBQ competition.

250 years ago, a bold idea changed the world. Today, we’re grateful to celebrate the freedom that makes gatherings like this possible.

From backyard cookouts to the competition trail, barbecue has always been about bringing people together. Family. Friends. Community. Those are traditions worth celebrating.

This Independence Day, we honor those who built this nation, those who have defended it, and everyone working to leave it better for the next generation.

From all of us at Straight Bones BBQ, have a safe, happy, and memorable Fourth of July. Here’s to 250 years of freedom and to the many more still to come.

Today, I had the honor of representing Straight Bones BBQ while partnering with Mastercard to give back to our community by volunteering at the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Charles County.

I spent the day keeping the hot dog roller full and serving hot dogs to approximately 200 hungry kids, helping fuel an afternoon full of fun, laughter, and smiles. From games and face painting to making new memories with friends, it was great to see everyone come together.

Competitive BBQ is about more than trophies and contests. It’s about serving others, bringing people together, and making a positive impact. I was proud to be a small part of such a fantastic event and am grateful to Mastercard and the Boys & Girls Club for the opportunity to help.

Days like today are a great reminder that sometimes the best thing you can serve isn’t championship bbq. It’s simply a meal shared with your community.
