This is a hard post to write. 💗
Last year when we took over and rebranded this little space as Pinky’s Fresh, we had a vision: create a place where people could find fresh, thoughtful food, feel welcomed, and know there was something on the menu that would actually nourish them.
A place for the mom grabbing lunch with her kids. The athlete looking for real fuel. The busy person who needed something better than the drive-thru. A place for our community to gather and feel cared for.
And you know what? We did that. We stand on those focused principles.
We’ve watched friendships happen at our tables, hosted local businesses and pop-ups, supported community organizations, and watched kids fall in love with smoothies. You came back for Mom’s granola, soups, bowls and your favorite Pinky’s orders.
But we’ve also learned firsthand how difficult it is to operate a small food business right now. Between rent, labor, food costs and the everyday expense of keeping the doors open, the numbers at this location are simply no longer sustainable for our family.
So September 30 will be our last day at this Pinky’s Fresh location.
But please hear this part:
We are closing this location. We are NOT saying goodbye to Pinky’s. 💗
We believe in what we created and we’re keeping the brand alive.
Maybe that means Mom’s house-made granola. Pop-ups. Collaborations. Community events. And maybe next spring, we start looking for the right opportunity and the right location to bring Pinky’s back in a way that makes sense.
Sometimes building something teaches you what the next version needs to look like.
So this isn’t “Pinky’s failed.”
Pinky’s taught us. And now we get to decide what comes next.
To everyone who bought a smoothie, brought your kiddos in, told a friend, shared our posts, attended an event, collaborated with us or worked alongside us — THANK YOU.
We still have a few days left, so come see us. Get your favorite bowl. Grab that smoothie. Bring the kids. Come say hi. 💗
This isn’t goodbye. It’s the end of this chapter.
Keep following along. Pinky’s story isn’t over yet.
With so much gratitude,
Genevieve, Lee & the Pin
