🍂 LEAF SEEKER HAS LANDED🍺

We’re officially getting ready for one of our favorite times of year in Wellsboro — foliage season. The leaves are getting ready to turn, the canyon is about to put on its annual show, and we’re ready to celebrate everything that makes this little slice of Pennsylvania so special — the scenery, the season, the people who call it home, and all the wonderful people who come here to experience it with us. ❤️

And what better way to kick things off than with Tröegs Leaf Seeker IPA? Troegs Brewing Company is one of several Pennsylvania breweries we’re proud to feature throughout the year, and whenever we can, we work to keep our tap list almost entirely Pennsylvania-brewed — because there’s a whole lot of great beer being made right here at home.

This 6.4% West Coast-style IPA brings sticky citrus, dank pine and tropical fruit — crisp, hoppy and pretty much made for a fall afternoon in PA. 🍁

Last year, we ordered ONE keg.

You drank it in TWO DAYS. 😂

So this year? We ordered THREE. We’re learning.

And stay tuned, because Leaf Seeker will be making appearances in some upcoming Happy Hour specials, too.

Our Black Angus Reserve steaks are brought in fresh-cut every week, and you’ve made them one of the stars of our summer.

Choose your favorite:

🥩 10 oz. Sirloin
🥩 12 oz. New York Strip
🥩 16 oz. Bone-In Ribeye — the steak you won’t find anywhere else in town.

Then let Executive Chef Justin make it even better.

🐟🍟 FRIDAY FRY DROP 🍟🐟

This week, our Brewer’s Choice Haddock Fry gets the Friday Fry Drop treatment.

Today, swap the Farm Fries that normally come with your dinner for your choice of Garlic Parm Fries or Dill Pickle Seasoned French Fries at no additional charge. The one pictured is loaded up with the Garlic Parm Fries, a Roost favorite.

And this dinner is no lightweight: crispy haddock, hush puppies, slaw, your upgraded fries, and your choice of a side salad or mac & cheese — both shown here.

See that bottle behind the platter? We order case after case of Little Long Ears handcrafted beer malt vinegar because it is so good with fried haddock. If malt vinegar belongs on your fish fry, you need to try this stuff.

Our Espresso Martini has a little Roost twist. ☕🍸

We’re making ours with Fair Play Distillers French Vanilla Vodka and Fever-Tree Espresso Martini Mixer, then topping it with silky vanilla cold foam, a dusting of espresso powder and espresso beans.

And Jeff has apparently decided that one espresso martini isn’t enough. He’s been behind the bar experimenting with different variations — which means we’ve had to enlist a few very willing taste testers. 😏

This one earned its approval out front in the Wellsboro sunshine and another 👍 by a second guest.

Come grab a seat, order an Espresso Martini, and keep an eye on the cocktail menu… Jeff isn’t done playing yet.

It’s an Upstate Brewing Company kind of week at The Roost! 🍻

It’s not often we have three beers from the same brewery on our draft line. But Upstate Brewing Company creates such delicious beer, it’s hard to resist crowding three of our ten taps with their brews.

Right now, we’re pouring:

☕ Roasted — Brown Ale, 6.3% ABV
Also known as “Brunch,” this medium-bodied brown ale is brewed with a rotating selection of locally roasted coffee beans, creating a beer that drinks more like an iced coffee.

Pair it with: Our Bacon Jam Smash—American cheese, bacon, spicy-sweet jalapeño bacon jam, and smoky bacon aioli. The roasted coffee character is a natural match for beef, bacon, and rich, smoky flavors.

🌿 Summer IPA — American IPA, 6.4% ABV
Hazy, juicy, and loaded with Mosaic and Michigan Copper hops, with notes of mixed berry, citrus, and tropical fruit.

Pair it with: Our Chili Crunch Ranch Crispy Chicken Sandwich—Cooper’s sharp American cheese, sweet and spicy pickle slaw, crispy onions, and house chili crunch ranch. The IPA’s citrus and tropical notes brighten the sandwich, while its hop bitterness cuts through the crispy chicken and creamy sauce.

🫐 Summertime Blues — Blueberry Blonde Ale, 5.8% ABV
A light blonde ale brewed with more than 200 pounds of puréed blueberries for a refreshing, fruit-forward beer made for warm weather.

Pair it with: Our Honey Butter Biscuit Shrimp—crispy shrimp in a honey butter biscuit-style batter, finished with hot honey and served with Roost lemon butter herb sauce. The beer’s blueberry character complements the honeyed sweetness, while its light body keeps the pairing refreshing.

Three Upstate beers. Three completely different flavors. Three very good reasons to stop in hungry and build your own pairing.
